Still Amazing!

So I learned what they meant by "Bimbo". This is something some of you, or all of you may have already known, but it is new information to me! In Mexico "bimbo" is a really popular bread. Apparently it is so popular that sometimes people will just say "bimbo" instead of bread. Interesting fact, but they should know, that Bimbo isn't the same here, as it is there!!!

Amazing!

We passed the most amazing truck on St. Street today! It totally made my day! I can't believe anyone would name their bakery this! I was so happy we were next to this truck long enough to take a picture!

Mistake

I am realizing that I made Lisa look bad. I didn't explain well enough that it was funny. And that if you know her you would laugh, but probably wouldn't laugh if you didn't know her. Plus Becca did deserve some of it....not all...but some!

Lisa (Memory Monday....)

So I had a baby shower about a week and a half ago. One of my friends Lisa Sperry was there. I haven't seen her in a very long time, but she got me remembering the things she used to say to my little sister Becca....
Those of you who know her, would not be surprised. However, those of you that don't know her may be a little shocked that someone would do this!

Any time Becca would cry (keep in mind she is like 3 or 4) she would just laugh at her and say over and over again "cry baby cry...cry baby cry...." Poor Becca, but she was a little stinker too..

Becca was walking, Lisa (13 years Becca's senior) sticks her foot out to trip her. And then laughs.

She regularly encouraged Becca to lick her shoe, and unfortunately Becca would.....

I don't know the reason that it was only Becca she tortured, but it's good memories. I was always laughing! I love the Sperry family!

Tradition Addict!

I love traditions! Love them! And even though it is just the two of us so far, I still try to get as many traditions in as possible on our holidays! Yesterday was my favorite holiday! I love Easter! It means Spring is here, and I love the whole spirit of Easter! Here are some of the things we do for Easter.

Because of all the hard-boiled eggs around we include them in breakfast. We have what is called creamed eggs on toast, and what looks like nasty! But let me tell you, it is delicious! It is a flour based gravy with eggs and toast! Aaron was so nervous to try it for the first time, but it is now one of his favorite breakfast meals!

In our Easter baskets, while I was growing up, along with our candy, and maybe a coloring book or something small like that, we always got new underwear and new socks. Think it's wierd if you want, but I don't care. So Aaron and I have continued the tradition. I know, we seem lame doing Easter baskets for each other. But Easter is my favorite, give me a break!

For dinner, nothing was a tradition, but it was still really good, I made a pork roast, veggies and garlic mashed potatoes. Good stuff!

All in all, it was a great Easter Sunday! We couldn't help but look forward to next Easter though, when we will have our little boy. We didn't get to dye eggs though. I was pretty disappointed, but we are in the process of moving, and so things have been a bit hectic. We didn't have a ton of time to even think about eggs!

New Ideas

I am getting really tired of the recipes I have. Really really tired! I have been looking at a few blogs and getting new ideas, but if any one has a blog with a lot of ideas, or a yummy recipe please do share! I will try pretty much anything, but Aaron is a little more picky than I am. So it can't be too crazy! But please share! Thanks!

Baby Shower!

Sarah Farmer and Ashley Bowman, some of my friends from California threw me a shower last weekend. They threw the friend shower since I have so much family here, and it would have been overwhelming, I'm sure, to do one for both friends and family! It was so fun, and so nice of them to do that for me! I loved it! I love being married, but having "girl only" time is so nice!

Easter Sunday.....in March?

I don't like this whole Easter in March idea! I think Easter should just always be like the first weekend in April! Easter is supposed to be in April. It is not awesome having it in March! It's less than a week after St. Patrick's day, and then besides Spring, what do we have to look forward to in April? Yes people are born in April so there are birthdays, but you know what I mean! Easter is my very favorite holiday! I love Spring, and the whole meaning of Easter. They just go better together! It snowed a couple days ago. That's not Spring. There needs to be cherry and pear blossoms on all the trees, and tulips and daffodils! This just isn't right......

Memory Monday--03/17 Technology

So I am not quite sure why I say it is Memory Monday, when usually I am creating this post on Tuesdays! Memory Tuesday just doesn't sound as nice....

I've come to realize that my memories are not that exciting! Memories come up often in my life, seeing as I remember a strange amount of information. I also remember strange things. Things no one ever remembers, nor should they. Putting this information on a computer, and then clicking a button so everyone else can read it, is interesting. The Internet is a useful but dangerous tool! Luckily, and hopefully we are all using it for the usefulness. It is so much easier to communicate with people through the Internet. Sometimes I wonder what it must have been like to live across the country from someone you love back in the horse back courier days! You probably actually always lived close to family. Who knows. But it makes me think of the days that we didn't have the Internet even.

I was 14 when my family first got the good ol' dial-up Internet! We had just gotten a computer, which was amazing compared to what we had been using! Our other computer we had only used DOS! Getting papers written on that was near impossible! So we got a new computer, and the Internet! A whole new world had been opened that I had not been aware of! If you know me well, you know I hate talking on the phone. I had just discovered Instant Messaging! It was amazing, I could have conversations with people, but not be talking on the phone.

Now because of the Internet we can be communicating with family whenever. We got my family a web cam for Christmas, and it is so fun to talk to them over the web cam instead of over the phone. Technology has definitely come a long way, and I am so grateful!

Wow this post kind of took a weird turn. First it wasn't a memory, and then it was, and then I'm not sure what it was after that. Mostly it was just thoughts I had. Oh well!

Happy Birthday Ashley and Ana

So today is March 11th, and it is also the date of birth for two of my best friends. Ashley Bowman, and Ana Steinagel! Both are the ripe old age of 22! Happy Birthday girls!

Birthday Weekend!

So luckily I had a wedding on Friday the 7Th, so I didn't have to work at the hospital. The following Monday (yesterday the 10Th) was my birthday, so again, I didn't have to work! It was fantastic! The wedding wasn't very long, and then I had the rest of the weekend, including Monday, to play! It was so fun. This is what we did.

Friday March 7Th....
Wedding in Salt Lake from 12-3. Easy. Piece of cake, finished at 3, went home and relaxed for the rest of the night!
Saturday March 8Th.....
We went bowling with some friends. Erin and Chris Mecklenburg, and Kathleen, Peter, and baby Lucy Ririe! It was fantastic! I had been wanting to go bowling for a while, finally I did! Not my worst game, but not great! Only 115....for some people that is good, for me, not so much! It's a lot harder to bowl when pregnant! I might have bowled better had I just rolled down the lane and hit the pins with my gigantic-ness. Here are some pictures!

Aaron and Chris, they were cute and matchy! :)

Peter, Kathleen, and baby Lucy!

This picture is really for Debbie. Just another prego pic!

Nickell, Kathleen, and Erin....so fun!

After bowling, we were on our way home to do some work. Suddenly I got a craving for Chinese, right as that happened, we got a phone call from my cousin Lisa. They invited us to go to dinner at a Chinese restaurant, it was delicious! Afterwards we went to their house, and played games. It was so fun, and we were there until 12:30 (1:30 if you count the time change!) I was craving ice cream big time, so we stopped by Wal-Mart on the way home, since they are the only crazy ones open that late, or early! I got my ice cream and we continued home to watch Eli Stone! Keep in mind what time it is! I was shocked we stayed up so late! With the time change we finally went to bed at 4:30! It was incredible! I haven't stayed up that late since I was single!

Sunday March 9Th....

Since we don't live by any of our immediate families, my Aunt Eileen had us over for dinner, and birthday cake. It was fun, we played more games, and we had strawberry shortcake for my birthday cake! It was delicious! I have totally been craving strawberries like crazy! So yummy!

Monday March 10Th......
My birthday! I wanted it to last long, so we woke up at 7:30, and went to breakfast. We went to Cracker Barrel in Springville, because let's face it....they have the best french toast! After breakfast we went home, and I did some spring cleaning. Maybe not the ideal way to spend a birthday for some people, but I love it, so I enjoyed it thoroughly! It was beautiful outside so our windows were open, and the vacuum was going for a long time.....it just smelled like Spring! I loved it!

After a day of cleaning, we went to dinner at Chili's and then we went to see Vantage Point. I'll say it was good, but not my favorite. I was expecting more.... We then went to my cousin Lisa's again, and played games again! It was so fun, we laughed hysterically! She had decorated her table, with streamers, and got birthday hats, and ice cream. It was a little birthday party! We ended up going home around midnight. And now being at work this morning, I am definitely regretting staying up so late. But it was really fun, and the perfect birthday weekend! When we got home we realized that we hadn't taken any pictures on my actual birthday. So here are a couple! We're lame I know!

For Debbie

So my Mother-in-law, Debbie, has been requesting pregnancy pictures of me. So here are a few!

This picture was taken at 1:30 am, I was exhausted so don't even mind how awesome I look!

Memory Monday 03/10/08

So today is my birthday, and it got me remembering all my birthday's from previous years. I quickly remembered the birthday that I learned that I should never throw my own birthday party, or plan my own birthday party.

"Sweet 16"

I made invitations, passed them out all over school, and had quite the turnout! Too bad I am too OCD! I was so worried about stuff going wrong, that I hardly enjoyed the party at all! Some of my friends said it was one of the funnest parties they had ever been too. I remember having a lot of conflicting thoughts with that!

First of all, this was the plan....

We had scheduled the Stake Center cultural hall for this "event"! We had music, I had an emcee, we had a "movie corner" (basically a TV in the corner playing movies), a cotton candy machine, lots of food....it was bound to be the best party ever....

I don't know where it came from but someone brought a basketball and speed was played all night....the music turned into karaoke....needless to say from my point of view it was a disaster. We hadn't made enough of the ice cream stuff so I didn't even get any of my own birthday "cake". I was crushed. And now looking back on it, people still had fun so it didn't really matter. Since then, I haven't planned a party for myself! Someone else has to have control so I don't get frustrated when something goes wrong....cause I just won't know about it!

I probably sound really snotty from this blog....reading it, I definitely do.

(I know I posted this on a Tuesday, but I didn't get around to posting it on Monday. So here it is!)

Happy Birthday Heather!

Happy Birthday Heather! Today is my sister-in-law's birthday! I just wanted to thank her for always being so nice to me, and accepting me into the family! Hope you have a great day!

Why?

So I have decided that our car is pretty much cursed. Last night for the second time, it was broken into. Luckily not much was taken. Only our planners, one of which had a checkbook in there, and the other had a prescription that I had not yet filled. I was extremely upset to say the least! Aaron didn't know what to say to me for hours! Pregnancy fills you up with all sorts of emotions that don't normally arise so easily!

What really ticks me off, is I don't understand that urge for people! Stealing? Why? A planner. So what if it had my ENTIRE wedding schedule for this ENTIRE year! It's a freaking planner! Who besides the owner, would care about a planner? It's ridiculous really! Aaron says he is the one that is cursed. Every single car he has ever owned in his lifetime, has been broken into! Every one! This one twice, his last one twice....and then 3 other cars! So stupid! Hopefully some day I will invent some machine that, unless authorized with a special code? or something, attacks whoever attempts to enter the car! That would be awesome....maybe then we won't be robbed!

Memory Monday!

So this is the last one about Aaron and I. I know, you are going to miss the gushing, but get over it! So to complete the story, or semi-complete I guess. This memory is about our wedding!

It was such a beautiful day, and although if I could go back, I would change a LOT, it was still amazing! We got married July 31st 2004 in the LA Temple. The weather was so perfect, which was something we had been worried about. There were a lot of fires that year, and air quality wasn't great! It wasn't too hot either. We got married at noon, we were the last wedding of the day. I was lucky enough to have three of my best friends show up! Erin, Shelly, and Kate! So the memory is of walking out of the temple! I have to say that is probably the most awkward situation anyone can be put in. You're just standing there waiting for people to stop cheering, and then they do, and you still stand there because you don't know what to do next! So awkward. I remember really not liking that moment. I really hate being the center of attention, having everyone looking at me. The rest of the day was great though! It was so fun! A lot went wrong.....including the infamous cake collapsing! And thank goodness my mom was taking so many pictures, because...well I'm not going to get started on that! But it was a great day, and now almost 4 years later we are still so happy, and so in love!

Here are more of our wedding pictures!

Make Up for last week's Memory Monday!

So I was sick last week, hence no memory. So here it is. I am going to be continuing the story of Aaron and I for this post and the next.

So we dated for about 6 months, and we were talking marriage. I was having a problem though. I was only 17, and still in High School. I didn't want to regret not living my life, and just getting married as soon as possible! So I graduated a semester early, and moved up to Utah to have my "on my own" experience! It was great, and I am so glad I did it! But I missed Aaron like crazy, and after living so far away from him for about 4 months, I realized that I was really ready to be married, especially to Aaron! So one visit he made up to Utah, we decided on the day to get married. I can't say that all family members were thrilled. I will just say there were a few that were skeptical...That's all. So we started planning the wedding while I was still living in Utah, but there had not been an official proposal, so it felt a little weird to tell people, even though I was so excited that I told everyone anyway.

When My family came to pick me up in May, and help me move back to California, the expected surprise came! If that makes sense! I knew he would be proposing, but I didn't know when! He concocted a whole plan. We were in Orem doing tux fittings for my brothers and Aaron, and my cousin Jamie called. She asked if I could pick her up at the Provo Temple, because here mom was doing a session at the temple, and she was dropping off her car. So she needed a ride home. I told her we could take her home. They're lucky I'm so nice other wise this would not have worked! :) When we go to pick her up, Aaron was acting unusually strange. She got in our car, and we pulled up next to the fountain right in front of the temple. (Side note: we were borrowing my parents car to run these errands, and they had called a few times wondering where we are, so I was stressing a little bit on time!) Aaron stops the car in front of the fountain, and says lets take a picture. I hesitate, but say "ok, but we have to hurry!" We go stand by the fountain, Jordan snaps a picture of us, and I am getting really frustrated because we are so short on time, and Aaron is wasting it away with this stupid picture! He says to me, "Hey, this is where we were when I first told you I loved you!" I reply with "Yeah, I love you too, lets go!" And I start to walk away! In One motion, he pulled me back and got on one knee! I was shocked, but it was so cute! I absolutely loved it, and we later found out that my parents were just anxious for us to get back so they could hear all about the proposal that hadn't happened when they called. (I feel like I am rambling and none of this makes sense!) I was so surprised!

P.S.

I haven't forgotten about "Memory Monday" so fear not! Last week I was under the weather, and so there was no post. However, tonight I will be making up for last week with two memories for this Monday! Also, I am displeased to let you know that I made another appointment for my never ending ear infection. It just doesn't want to leave, and now I have to go to an ear nose and throat doctor. Joy....

He's Pretty Much Incredible!

So, I am obsessed with David Archuleta....
This kid is from Murray Utah, and he is incredible. I have listened to his performance of "Imagine" about a billion times! When he first auditioned I was prepared for the worst, because he talked about how he had vocal paralysis.... Well he surprised me to say the least! He is amazing!

Check him out...

Why?

So I got my hair cut last Saturday. Why is it that I have such a hard time styling it the same way it was styled after my cut. Right now it looks more like a helmut than when she styled it? It devastates me....although, by the end of the day on Saturday, I had another devastating revelation.....I kind of have the same hair cut as Danny Noriega on American Idol....

That is not the cut or the cutter's fault at all. But if anyone is wondering, Caitlyn Cox is amazing at cutting hair, and I would recommend anyone go to her. She just needs to teach me how to do it now!! I'll post a picture later, once I am better at styling it.....
