Zoo Lights

We also went to the Hogle Zoo lights this year. This was our first year and we've decided to make it a tradition in our house. It's very fun. You still get to see animals and the lights are all really cool! We had lots of fun with Jeny, Mark, Holly, Matt, Shannon and Leah. It was good.

Kade loved seeing the animals. Not all of them were awake so we didn't get to see too many but there were quite a few we still saw. Sad to say this was Kade's first zoo visit. We need to go again for sure because he loved it!

Kade and Shannon always have fun together. They're so cute.

Jordan Had a Birthday Shout Hooray!

This guy had a birthday. He turned 21.

We had a surprise party for him at our home. Here are some of the people that were involved...

He was surprised.

We didn't have very many candles and so Uncle Dave and Aaron made one out of candle wax. It was funny, but didn't last very long. They created the mold with tinfoil and one of Kade's bath toy sponges (the number 2) Then they poured hot candle wax from one of my scented candles into the mold and put it in the freezer. It lasted long enough for me to take a picture...
He blew out the candles.

Rumoli was played, and if you don't know what Rumoli is, I'm sad for you.
Kade devoured the pizza.
Lots of people came including Leenie and Scott.

Shelly, Harrison, and Aaron played the wii.

Temple Lights

The day after Thanksgiving we went to see the lights at Temple Square. I have to say this year, I was a tad disappointed. There didn't seem to be as many lights as there usually are. But it was still fun to drink hot chocolate and be with family.

The whole group, minus Dylan because he's taking the picture.

Jordan hates the camera, this is Aaron's failed attempt to get a picture with him. Or I guess a good one.

He Funny.

Kade brought this head band to me, took my glasses off and asked me to put them on him, and then sat down to read his book. He's a funny kid. And you can see his new cheese. He does it if you ask him "are you stinky?" What a weirdo.

Hopefully this will hold you over for a couple days. We are still in Texas, we fly back tomorrow. There will be more. Including the following: Temple square, Jordan's birthday, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Post Christmas Day, and then the adventures we will be having today. Don't miss Thanksgiving that I already posted.

Thanksgiving 2009

This year for Thanksgiving my family actually came up to Utah. It was very fun to have them there. We went to the Griersons. All together we had Uncle Matt, Grandma and Grandpa, Dave, Trish, and their kids, my whole fam, Mark, Jeny, Tara, my sister Kylee's boyfriend Dylan, Holly and her daughter Leah...I'm sure I'm forgetting someone. Anyway it was very fun. We wrote to my cousin Spencer who is in the MTC and ate lots of yummy food and just sat around and talked. It was good to all be together.

Look how pretty my Grandma is.
The yummy pies and some other food too.

Kade and his Great Grandma also played foosball. It was pretty cute.

We're Not Dead

But without the internet we may as well be. Our move went well but we still have no internet access. We are at my Aunt's house right now borrowing hers. There's lots to come.

How Does One Get a Kid Like This!--Retry

Caption for the video on Youtube.com: Micah's Mongoose Bicycle was stolen 3 week ago out of the back yard .Yesterday we surprised him with a new bike. Just like his stolen one.

To have a kid that has that much gratitude would be all I could hope for!

Halloween Festivities 2009

Ok Grandma's, here is the Halloween post you've both been waiting for! We carved pumpkins the night before Halloween and it was fun. Said pumpkins are in a previous post.

Kade was a pirate. Unfortunately I couldn't find boots for him so I had to make shoe covers that looked like boots....they didn't turn out so well.... and his vest in unfinished but just don't notice those two things ok?

It was a battle to get him to keep his earring on and he wouldn't, so he went without. At least I know my son doesn't like to wear jewelry, that can't be bad right?
He loved trick or treating and picking out his candy and putting it in his bag. It was so cute! I love that he actually got it this year! As for Aaron and myself, Aaron was a mental patient and I was his doctor. Boring easy costumes.

After the trick-or-treating some of my best friends from highschool in Utah came over, along with my sis-in-law Serena and we had a little social gathering of sorts. We had yummy halloween treats like home-made rootbeer, caramel corn, apples with caramel dip, cupcakes, caramel apple suckers, muddie buddies, oreo balls, cotton candy, and don't worry a veggie tray! Then we ended the night with Hocus Pocus. Classic!

The best costume of the night...
She's Edward in the sunlight. She put desitin and glitter all over herself. Hilarious.

Kiley and Tyler, the zombies.

That was it. It was a fun night!
