He Turned Three

I can't believe he's been alive for 3 years already. At the same time, it feels like he's been with us for a lot longer! Maxwell turned three. It was a Sunday but the day before, we went and saw The Good Dinosaur. We all loved it. And we spent a good part of the day just playing together as a family.

On Sunday, the day went pretty normally. In the morning, though, with Max's pancakes we sang happy birthday and did the candle thing.  After dinner, Jamie, J.j., Pyper, Paisley, Kiana, and Jordyn came over to have cupcakes and watch Max open his presents. The kids all loved playing and Max was loving all the attention! Here are a few photos. You can see why Christmas morning didn't produce a whole lot of a photos from this guy. He never. stops. moving.

Everything to do With Christmas

I love this time of year! I love decorating the tree, I love all of our traditions... It's all wonderful. Plus Christmas with kids is extra awesome. There are a lot of pictures, there will be minimal captions. Enjoy.

Decorating our tree.

Waiting to see Santa!
Max had a very pleasant Santa experience, just a week before this. He walked up, sat on his lap and they chatted like old buddies. My only explanation for this experience was that he was cold, and tired.
There were lots of bounce houses, and a firetruck at this "Meet Santa" event.  The boys were in heaven!
Max and Kade wanted to go on one bounce house, Tadd wanted to go on another and time was running out so we split up and I was with Tadd. That's why the following photos only have Tadd.

Rock'N Lights in Round Rock
Christmas Eve traditions! Chinese take-out and Prep and Landing, followed by opening PJ's and reading The Night Before Christmas.
Decorating cookies for Santa.
Annual family picture in front of the tree.

Since our house doesn't have stairs, we have altered our stair picture to be in our bed. We always start the morning off in our bed reading Luke 2 and talking about the birth of Christ.
And when you don't have a fireplace, you're grateful that Hulu has fireplace footage with pretty Christmas music added. I love the ex
Aaron won a steel dinosaur from work, the boys LOVE it! Win, win.
This is about as good as it got, trying to take photos of Max on Christmas morning.

It was a nice Christmas. We were spoiled by friends and family and we are very grateful!

Thanksgiving in Ft. Worth

Thanksgiving this year was spent with the Blair's in Ft. Worth. It was so fun to be around so much family all weekend. Heather and Joel and their kids were all there, as well as Serena's family, and Amber's Family.  So many cousins, and they all had a blast hanging out together!
There was lots of time spent, eating, laughing and just enjoying each other's company!
