I Can't Believe I'm Doing This...

I had a beyond creepy dream last night. Because I am paranoid, and I don't want that dream to come true (yes I know how ridiculous I sound so you don't have to tell me) I am going private.... Send me your email addresses if you want to continue reading my always interesting blog!

Gingerbread Making...

So we were a little late making these this year. Ok a lot late! We made these the night of Christmas day! It was still fun though, there were definitely a lot of laughs. Aaron would sit there for like 10 minutes and then add something, sit there and then add something. Then he had been sitting there for about a half hour and said "I haven't thought of anything for a while, I think I'm finished...." Hi is the one with candy canes coming from the roof like ears, Becca's is the one that is missing a side, Brock's has a striped roof, my moms is the cottage looking one (she used Triskets for the roof), Jordan's has a roof made of chocolate, there is a small square one that Brock made a school, and then mine was the one with the bricks. It was so fun and a tradition that I have not been a part of for a long time!

It's Christmas Night....

First Caitlyn, yes my hair really is this long now and I hate it. I will hopefully be making an appointment here in the next month....hopefully....

Merry Christmas!!!

From our family to yours!

Merry Christmas everyone! We have been in California for the past week and we got to spend Christmas with my family for the first time since we have been married. That's 1 out of the past 5 Christmas'. I was so fun to be with my family at this time of year.

Last night we were all sitting by the fire just chatting and my dad shared a story with us. He is the market manager for T-Mobile here in southern California and last week one of his manager's mother's house burned down. (did you get that?) Along with the house all of this woman's Christmas presents for her kids and grandkids burned. A couple days before Christmas, my parents gave this woman a gift card to Toys 'R Us so she could shop for her grandkids again. My dad doesn't know her, he is just her daughters boss. The woman and her daughter cried and cried and they were so grateful. They couldn't thank my parents enough. This is obviously a shortened version of what took place. My dad told us that no matter what he got for Christmas this year, there is no greater gift than the gift of giving. He said the looks on their faces was the greatest gift he got this year! I am so grateful to have such good examples charity in my life. While gifts aren't the main reason for Christmas, we are taught to be Christ-like, and I think this was a perfect example of how we can be Christ-like. My dad is a lot more eloquent than I am, and it sounded better coming from him, but I think I got the jist....

We had a good Christmas, we created a lot of memories that will be forever cherished. We have had a lot of fun and we're glad we finally got to have Christmas with my family! Here are a few pictures from Christmas morning.

Snow Day.

It's a little funny. But first I want to say no offense to any of you from Vegas, because when we were driving last night it was snowing a lot. However, today is a snow day. The freeway is closed for us to continue on to California so we spent the night at Aaron's aunts house. Today his cousins had a snow day at school. Being from Utah, where it snows a ton, it is funny for us. I know a lot of people in Vegas has not even ever seen snow before so it could be frightening to them. It's pretty funny to us though....There was a lot more snow, but it is pretty much all melted now. There is still no school....

Countdown....

The countdown is on. Soon we will be in California visiting these people.... I shouldn't even be blogging because I have so much to do! My list is so long. I have one and a half days left.... I hope I get everything done.

Milk

This cute kid right here signed milk a couple days ago. It's so cute to see his little fist when he signs milk. Now he does it every time he is hungry! It's amazing! It might not be amazing for you, but it is for me. It's so fun to see him learn! He also waves now too. So cute! I love this picture. He just looks so tired.

So Cool...

So I was taking pictures of my cousin. We took a picture with some Christmas ornaments because she had a cute Christmas outfit. One of the ornaments dropped and broke, but it looked so cool inside. There was a little section of it that was reflective. If you click on the picture you can see it closer and you can actually see my camera. It was so cool. Also here is a picture of my cousin Leah, it isn't the one with the ornament, but I liked it.

This is What Happens....

When Kade tries to feed himself. He thought it was pretty hilarious too!

It's Christmas Time...

I've seen a couple people do this, so I thought I would join in the festivities. Not decorating the Christmas tree, we do that every year, but taking pictures of it and posting it. Then here are a few more decorations we have throughout our house. I love Christmas time. I love at night having all the lights off except for the Christmas lights. I'm so excited for Christmas!

Melts My Heart!

Kade has been difficult to feed lately. He is just more interested in everything going on around him, I end up walking around him in circles just to get the spoon in his mouth. It gets very frustrating, but then today he called me mama! How can you get frustrated at that!

Our Thanksgiving

This year we went to the Kroghs for Thanksgiving. They are good friends of the Blair family and recently relocated to Utah from California. They are basically family. It was so much fun, we laughed a lot, ate good food, and just enjoyed the company. We really appreciated them having us. Thanks Krogh family!

This is my veggie tray that was devoured in about 10 minutes. Until I replenished it of course. However before I set it out Serena wanted to take a picture...

Todd was hanging out with Kade all day. He also decided it would be funny to feed him jello.

Aaron getting the rolls ready. Chad being Chad.

He got full.

Todd, Kade and Serena hanging out.

Emily and her fiance Jordan. They are getting married in May in Hawaii. Rough life.
