Victoria and Joe

Last weekend we had more engagements. The morning was beautiful, but windy! Victoria was so giggly! It was really fun to take pictures of them, they interacted with each other very well! There are more but it won't let me upload them right now. Later today.

At the request of many....

Here it is! The recipe for the waffles that we got to enjoy last weekend. It was my family baby shower! I haven't had time to post anything about it yet, but thought I better hurry and get the waffle recipe up! Here it is. They are delicious. Not a joke! The only downside is that they are not quick to make because of the yeast....but they are worth the wait! I will make some this weekend, and post pictures of these delights....

Belgian Waffles

1/4 c. warm water
1 pkg yeast
1 t. sugar
1/2 t. salt
2 c. warm milk (1%, 2%, or whole), he warms his in the microwave
2 c. flour
1 cube butter, melted

Use a large mixing bowl!
Combine yeast with water. Stir. Mix in sugar, salt, and milk. Add melted butter and then flour. Will rise in 2-3 hours (mild yeast taste) or if you like it "yeasty", you can let it sit out overnight. It will quadruple in size.

Before cooking, add 2 eggs, and 1/4 t. baking soda.

Will make 5-6 Belgian Waffles

P.S. They are delicious!!!!!

Pictures

So I decided there is a definite lack of pictures on this blog. It's especially sad considering that I take them for a living! This month is going to be crazy busy with shoots! I want to get everything for my June weddings (engagements, bridals, etc.) before May, so May can be baby only time! Here are a few from and engagement session I had last Saturday. Andrea and Russ were so fun to work with. He wasn't too into smiling, but we got a few of him doing so! They were so fun, and so relaxed! It's so nice to get a couple like them!

I'm Grateful for Small Things

So many little things get taken for granted. I'm just saying, that until you don't have something anymore, you just don't realize the blessing it was.....
I think it is safe to say that sometimes most of us don't realize how good we have it! We watched Idol Gives Back last night, and it breaks my heart to see all those children in the United States as well as other countries that don't even have clean running water. Yet they will still drink it, because that's all they have. I don't think I could do it.
It makes me sad to see those kinds of situations, when there is so much greed in the world. Most people take at least one thing for granted. I am making a goal here and now to be more grateful for even the little things, like shoes!

Moved.

We moved, and I can't describe to you how much I dislike moving. It is such a pain. Unpacking I don't mind, I actually kind of enjoy it, as well as figuring out a way to decorate your new place. However, packing, and actual moving day is a dreadful thing for me! Especially since we can't do it alone, moving day always requires help from other people. I also was feeling really bad for those helping, because we haven't been able to help anyone move in the last like year and half because our lives are crazy! Therefore, I didn't want to ask anyone to help, because we haven't been able to return the favor for so long, and buying pizza just doesn't seem to say thank you enough! Another reason this move was worst than others is because of the bun in the oven. It's bad enough just moving from third floor to third floor, but carrying all this extra weight around.... I can't even complain either, I was given strict orders by Aaron and my doctor not to lift anything heavy, but still a lot of trips up and down that many stairs would do a number on anyone...... Enough venting. But thanks to everyone that helped. If you didn't, don't feel bad, we haven't been able to help anyone move lately. But we do greatly appreciate all the help we received. And I know I am a baby, I just needed to vent!

Spring has Sprung!

I love Spring, it is by far my favorite season! Especially when you live in a state that has more than one or two seasons. It is such a breath of fresh air from the cold winters, plus everything is getting beautiful again! Anyway, I found this little quiz, and took it because I was bored. I won't lie to you, I was really bored!

The result of the quiz....
"You stand up for what you believe in, even if it gets in the way of what other people think. "

I am a

What Flower
Are You?

Now I think this is true to a point, however, I do care about others and their feelings. I don't especially enjoy the way it is worded, but whatever....
