This Is Why....

I'm pretty sure I have the cutest kid in the world. This morning when I went into his room to get him up for the day, I found a bare bed. Only his fitted sheet was on it. As I looked around the room I found him like this.

He had moved his pillow, and temporary bedspread (his is in the washer), climbed up onto the rocking chair and just made himself comfortable. He was just laying there, awake. Just hanging out. Oh man, I love this kid.

A Sidewalk Full of Fun

Kade got a new toy. It's called sidewalk chalk.

I'm pretty sure he thinks sidewalk chalk is the greatest thing ever invented.
He decided that step was the best spot for his artwork.

You see all those lines? Those are basketballs....at least that's what he said. Also, since when did they make sidewalk chalk look like giant chalky crayons. Way more awesome than boring ol' sticks of chalk.

Kade Had A Friend One Day

My cousin Shannon came over the other day and played with Kade. He was in heaven since friends for him are hard to come by these days. They played in his cardboard box fort that Aaron made for him. Said fort is also his hiding spot when he knows he's in trouble.

Also, just a minor ps: he won't be without friends for much longer because we are with child. It's still pretty early but we've passed our scary part. We will be welcoming #2 in October. We tried keeping it a secret but I've been pretty sick and so it's a little hard to hide. Anyway, yay us.

Bowling

For family home evening on Monday we went bowling. It was Kade's first time and he was in HEAVEN! We figured he would love it considering his obsession with sports. He did a really good job at taking turns as well. I thought he'd think it was his turn every time but when it wasn't his turn he'd run back to the table and climb up onto a chair and wait for his next turn. He's so cute!

Can you believe they have bowling shoes that small? I had no idea but they were so cute!

He thought this machine was downright magic.
