There have been a lot of trips to California lately, for weddings. Kade begs and begs to go, every. single. time. So when November's trip came around, I told him he'd get to go with me. We wanted to make the trip as fun as possible. We got to do a whole bunch of fun things. We saw Big Hero 6, went to the Los Angeles Temple, the Grifith Observatory, the Beach and Kade's favorite... Universal Studios.
The Griffith Observatory was so cool. It was a first visit for all of us.
I had a photo shoot at the beach, luckily they were friends of mine so I brought Kade along so he'd get to visit the beach while we were there. He loved it. He was perfectly content watching other people build sand castles and watch the waves come in. All the little boys even tested their luck to see how close the waves could get to them before they ran away.
On the way home from the beach, we got stuck in traffic. It felt like it was going to be forever. So we started playing with my camera and all the tail lights surrounding us. It was an eventful night. Complete with the car directly behind us, getting rear-ended.
Universal Studios was the highlight of the trip! It had been a long time since I had been there and it was Kade's first time. He's still talking about it.
The highlight of his life was getting to meet Bumblebee and Optimus Prime.
He was going nuts over the cars on the backlot tour.
We ended the day with dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe. Unfortunately Kade was EXHAUSTED! He slept through the whole dinner.
On our way out of Universal City Walk we played with the camera some more. I love what you can do with lights and a camera. Fun fun.
It was such a fun trip and so fun to spend so much one on one time with Kade. I'm so lucky to have such a fun and happy kid!
