It's official. He's in School.

This morning, I decided to take a crack at making a video, sans Aaron.
Keep in mind, it's the first video I've ever done like this, so judge accordingly.

Today was Kade's first day of Kindergarten. He was in pre-school last year, but only three times a week for two and a half hours.

Here, in Texas, Kindergarten is full day. That means he starts at 7:45 am and ends at 2:45 pm. I'm so excited for him and I know he's going to love it.

He was so excited this morning, up until they had all the students in the school meet in the multi-purpose room, first thing. I think that overwhelmed him a little bit. He never cried but I could tell he was nervous.

Once we got into his classroom, he was much better.

I did great! Until I got to the car. That's when I choked up, but just for a second. Mostly because today marks a huge day in our lives. We can no longer do whatever we want, whenever we want. We now have to worry about school schedules. Vacations will be harder to take, things like that. It bums me out a little bit. And I miss my little helper. But to be honest this whole "only two kids at home" thing is pretty awesome.

An unexpected reaction has been Tadd's. He's been very sad and cuddly all day. He misses his buddy.

We miss you Kade and hope you had a great first day!

Cousin Weekend and Bubblepalooza

Grandma, Aunt Amber, Colton, Rylan and Brayden came to visit us this weekend! We have loved having them! The first couple days there were sick kids so we just hung around the house but today we ventured into Austin for some family fun! It was hot, but once the bubble blowing and parachute games started, there was lots of fun being had. Thank goodness Amber had her camera because I forgot mine. :( I took a few pictures at the bubblepalooza though.

This next sequence of pictures just makes me happy.

After the bubblepalooza we headed to County Line BBQ for dinner and feeding the turtles.
(Photo credit to Amber, she took these ones.)
We sure loved having them visit!

A while back we went to the botanical gardens here in Austin. It was so fun and the kids absolutely loved it. We even found some cool looking caterpillars. Oh course we took them home. Unfortunately we only had one survivor. However, that is all Kade needed. He thought it was the coolest thing ever!

The Storm

A few weeks ago, we had 4 or 5 days in a row, that rained and rained. I loved. So did the boys.
Tadd would only go out in it if the helmet was on.
Childhood is so wonderful. Sigh.

They Just Wont Stop No Matter What I Do.

They're growing. All of 'em. So rude, right?

As tradition goes in our family, we started Max's white shirt pictures when he was a newborn.
Left: Newborn. Right: 6 months.

Then it was time for Kade's 5 year photo. Whaaa?

3 Years

Then one more. Just for good measure. I guess maybe, if you want, you can call it a 'before and after'.
